THE WINERY

Mont Reaga is located in a traditional grapevine growing area in Castilla La Mancha, under the "Vinos de la Tierra de Castilla" Protected Geographical Indication.

Mont Reaga is an exclusive winery which combines technique and the highest quality in all of its production processes.

The farm covers an area of 130 hectares, surrounded by a beautiful landscape of vineyards and cereal fields. A small river runs across this area, regulating the temperature in summer and, at the same time, creating an unique ecosystem in terms of wildlife diversity.

Mont Reaga is a model of environmental protection, as during its construction and operation all aspects related to respect for our natural environment were taken into account.

An ideal setting for a day in the countryside, within the heart of nature, and surrounded by the magic world of wine.

Varietes Mont Reaga

VARIETES

In Mont Reaga we grow both traditional Spanish varieties (Tempranillo, Verdejo and Moscatel de Grano Menudo) and other international varieties which have adapted extremely well to the climate of our region and our farm (Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot y Sauvignon Blanc).

One of the challenges in these warm lands is to preserve the proper acidity, giving freshness to the wines without reducing their maturity, which offers a burst of aroma, colour and strength.

VINEYARD TECHNIQUES

VINEYARD TECHNIQUES

Winter and spring pruning is carried out along with harvesting restrictions in summer in the vineyard. These processes allow us to obtain the best quality grapes for our wines.

Night harvest at the optimal moment of ripeness of the grape which, along with its manual selection, removing leaves and stems, allows us to produce wine using only the best grapes.

Production

PRODUCTION

Following the selection of the grapes, these are introduced into our last generation stainless steel vats, where fermentation and maceration take place, extracting the particular colour, aroma and flavour of our wines.

The production cellar has 20 stainless steel vats, in the shape of a truncated cone, with a capacity of 25,000 litres.

Aging

AGING

In Mont Reaga we use medium toast French and American oak barrels, with a capacity of 300 litres, and a maximum life of 4 years. These barrels provide our wines with everything needed to make them smooth, fine, elegant and tasty, with a long finish, where the grape variety is the star.

Furthermore, in Mont Reaga we use 1500, 5000 and 10000 litres vats for slow aging processes, making our wines more elegant and round in the mouth.
